Facilities Subsection – Premises Risk Identification and Mitigation

Security is a hot topic and equally important to cyber security is physical and premises security.  Join the Facilities Subsection on January 17, 2018 at Clark Wilson to hear Randy Lines, Partner and Chief Technical Officer at 3Si Risk Strategies Inc. discuss risk identification and risk mitigation.

Rather than specific procedures for an event, Randy aims to provide tools for employees to function in an environment where the threat environment is not static. While covering topics such as suspicious packages and person, violent or dangerous situations, or active threats, the objective of the presentation is to provide attendees with an understanding of “how to think” as opposed to strict “what to do’s”.

Randy believes that Facility managers are the ideal target audience for a security speaker, and that they are where the desire for security meets head on with the reality of the cost of security.  This presentation promises to be engaging and informative!

Randy has an extensive background in this field, working as a Senior Research and Development Engineer with the Electronic Security Branch for the RCMP.  He has also worked as a Police Officer and Detective, specializing in emergency response and Security Engineering.  Now a partner with 3Si, Randy continues to pursue his passion for both tech and physical security.
