Joint Small Firms & HR Subsection Meeting: Bullying & Harassment in the Workplace

The Small Firms and HR Subsections would would like to invite you to attend our joint meeting on Monday, April 23, 2018, on the topic of bullying and harassment in the workplace. Please note that due to venue space and speaker availability, our usual date has been changed to Monday, April 23.
Our guest speaker is employment lawyer, Peter Eastwood, who practices at HHBG Employment Lawyers in Vancouver. HHBG is a boutique employment and labour law firm of 15 lawyers, a mediator, and a dedicated team of support staff with offices in both Vancouver and Surrey. Employment and labour law is all that HHBG does. They advocate for employees.
Peter advises clients on all aspects of employment and labour law, and frequently advises on bullying and harassment issues in the workplace, including mental disorder claims under the Workers’ Compensation Act. Peter has extensive experience with WorkSafe BC issues, including claims, safety and discriminatory actions, and appeals before the Review Division and Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT).
Peter’s presentation on bullying and harassment/sexual harassment, will be focused to the employer side of things. What employers / administrators / HR Managers should do if/when complaints are made and how to deal with them.
We are excited to hear from Peter, a new presenter to the BCLMA and look forward to you joining us.

Cost: $46.68 per person (includes GST of $2.22). Please make cheques payable to BCLMA. Cheques can be mailed to the BCLMA in advance or brought to the session.
